Ishan Sharma's Portfolio

Helping organizations feel content with their content.

About Me

I'm a versatile creator with four years of experience spearheading content creation across multiple mediums and industries. I also have two years of experience leading a content and digital marketing team.

Beyond my career, there's nothing I love more than a cup of coffee, having conversations with new people, and watching an NFL football game (many Sundays have been spent stressed on my couch).

Why I Create

Whether it's a monologue from a famous actor or stories shared between strangers, words help us connect, convey essential information, and, in some cases, change the world.

If I'm lucky, I hope to do all three.

When Teara Met Rachel: An Outbound Recruiting Success Story

If you’ve seen any romantic comedy in the past three decades, you should recognize the following quote:

“You can meet the right person at the wrong time.”

It’s an obstacle that drives the plot of most of these movies – and it’s one that recruiters are very familiar with.

You’d likely run out of fingers if you tried to count how many times you caught a candidate when they were uninterested, busy or crunched for time (even when an opportunity was perfect for them).

Yet, there’s one stark difference...

Rewriting The Rules of Recruitment

Why We Rebranded from Hiretual to hireEZ

The greatest ideas in the world often leave us saying one thing:

“I wish I had thought of that before.”

These ideas lead to billion-dollar companies. They unite people across the globe. And, most importantly, they become fundamental parts of our daily life.

Today, we’re giving you the chance to embrace an idea that will do just that. But before we get to the idea, let’s unpack the issue it’s going to address.

Today, we’re giving you the chance to embrace an idea that will do just that. But before we get to the idea, let’s unpack the issue it’s going to address.

If you’ve been online at any point in the past year, you’ve read the headlines concerning “talent shortages,” “the Great Resignation,” and “hiring difficulties.” Without a doubt, economic circumstances and the current talent market are putting immense pressure on the talent acquisition industry.

The pandemic and gender inequality: How AI is helping companies hire women

Before COVID hit, women in the U.S. had made significant progress towards overcoming gender inequality. Representation was on the rise in male-dominated industries, and women were outnumbering men in the workforce for the first time since 2010.

Unfortunately, 2020 would undo that short-lived victory. In December, the U.S. economy lost around 140,000 jobs — all of which belonged to women. Beyond the U.S., women accounted for 54% of job losses worldwide, even though they only made up 39% of the global workforce.

Dwight Schrute’s 4 Lessons for Successful Data-Driven Recruiting

You probably know him best as assistant to the regional manager, owner of Schrute Farms, and an award-winning paper salesman. What you might not know is Dwight Schrute is also an expert on data-driven recruiting.

Fact. Over the past decade, data analytics in recruitment have evolved from simple job posting and advertising metrics to comprehensive breakdowns of candidate engagement, diversity analytics, social media marketing, and more. One early issue was deciphering certain types of recruitmen

NFL Network Insider Tells All About His Dogs | Pet Lifestyles Magazine

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport may well be the leader in breaking NFL news, but at heart, the news he wants to break is how he loves his two beautiful rescue dogs, Molly and Biscuit. In the Rapoport house, all three of them spend their days investigating and taking action. For Ian, this means tracking down team-related information and reporting it to the public. For 12-year-old Molly, this involves carefully listening for someone to drop an ice cube on the floor and eating it once they do. For

How Music Artists Used Their Platforms For Success In Other Industries

How Music Artists Used Their Platforms For Success In Other Industries

Many of us grew up with the notion that music artists were extremely rich, powerful, and desired by the general public. While this is true for many artists, the varying levels of these attributes wasn’t fully understood. More specifically, in comparison with famed figures in other industries, we have come to understand that artists make significantly less. In order to understand this, we can look at music artists who have tr

Why NFL Fans Care About Fashion More Than You Think

Why NFL Fans Care About Fashion More Than You Think

From an outsider’s perspective, one might assume that NFL fans have little concern for their team’s fashion sensibilities or aesthetic appeal. While it’s true that fans’ primary interest is their team’s success, NFL fans still care tremendously about how their team looks. The best example of this is NFL fans’ reactions to the reveal of new team jerseys.

Jerseys are an essential part of an NFL team and franchise. Not only are they worn by the
